Boo!

Though marathoners are well-advised to save the revelry and excessive consumption of sugary stuff until after the marathon, the spirit of Halloween was alive and well at the expo and elsewhere in NYC.

Sleep well, ghosties, and we'll see you in the morning!

Marathon Eve

E-mail Print PDF

Today was a great day. The Continental Airlines International Friendship Run brought 18,000 thousand of you to the finish line. And, as I type, many of you are enjoying the Barilla Marathon Eve Dinner and preparing the watch the fireworks. Tonight, rest well. Tomorrow, take on the New York, baby!

We'll be with you every step of the way.

...what you've come to New York for!

Now is the time to relax, get some sleep in spite of your nerves, and enjoy every moment, including your spectacular finish. Remember to look up and smile at the finish line to allow brightroom to take a perfect picture of your final moments at the ING New York City Marathon 2009. We hope to see you next year! You can begin signing up for the 2010 lottery on Monday, November 2. If you qualify for guranteed entry, you can begin registering on January 31, 2010.

The marathon is on all of our minds, but many of us are also cheering for the hometown boys--go Yanks! If you're in the Bronx, check out the new stadium.

Do You Know This Gorilla?

Where is the Central Park zoo again? This gorilla must have escaped to run the race on Sunday! If you see him at the expo, wish him well before those zoo keepers collect him at the finish line. And don't worry, he's friendly!
